Start of Instructions.

Read through to the end for the Independent reading and the assignment.

The link for today's Zoom class is in Google classroom.

Independent Learning:

1) It will be beneficial for you to use the independent learning period to learn most of the root words on the scientific language work sheet.

2) Read pages 2 of the textbook and create a flow chart to show life's levels of organization.  Use pictures  where appropriate and leave a few lines between each level. I will be elaborating on the reading tomorrow. 

3) Read pages 6 and 7 and take notes.

Day 5 Welcom Week. September 4, 2020

If this is your first time logging in, please read earlier posts.  Download the Experimental Design Diagram. You will need this sheet for labs. Type your name on the Google sheets as it will be used to take attendance.  

There will be an optional  Zoom link for anyone who would like to join.  The information will also be posted in Google Classroom.

Scientific Language

Scientific vocabulary is made of root words that are linked to have different meaning.  Learning the root words will help you to understand the meaning of words that would otherwise be difficult.

The sheets with some common prefixes and a few scientific words have been posted in Google classroom. Review and guess the meaning of the words listed.

Zoom meeting scheduled for Period 3.

Also, remember to write your name on the form for attendance.

Day 3 of Welcome Week

September 2, 2020

A Canvas link has been added.  Once in Canvas, click on announcements the code for Google classroom is saved there.  

Click on the link to Google classroom to answer the question. This assignment will be used to take attendance. Period 2 will have a Zoom meeting at 9:45 AM.  The link for the meeting is also listed in Google Classroom.  Period 3 will meet on Thursday.

Day 2 of Welcome Week. September 1, 2020

Please log into Google Classroom to fill out the form. It will give me an understanding  as we navigate this online learning environment together. The form will be used to take attendance for today, September 1st.

In addition, there will be a Zoom meeting at 9:45 for Period 2 on Wednesday, September 2nd  and for  Period 3 on Thursday, September 3rd.
